​​My name is Steve Shinoi and I am an attorney licensed in California and U.S. Federal courts. I am based in Long Beach, California and handle both domestic and international legal matters. Besides the U.S., I have lived and worked in the Asia Pacific region for over 35 years, including Japan, Hong Kong, China and Thailand, and have broad and detailed experience in contracts, sales negotiations, business structuring, business disputes, M&A, real estate matters including hotel and commercial building development, management and finance matters, commercial civil litigation and U.S. immigrant and non-immigrant visa applications. I have worked in a variety of business fields at the corporate level, including software, IT hardware, data services & storage, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, automotive, real estate, construction defects, products liability, antitrust and others. I have consulted for individuals and many large and medium-sized companies and law firms in the U.S., United Kingdom, Japan, China, Australia, Singapore and Thailand, on contracts and commercial transactions for businesses in the U.S. and throughout the Pacific Rim. I am also fluent in spoken and written Japanese and have over 30 years translation experience. As a licensed attorney in California, I also assist corporate Legal departments and law firms with documentation and negotiations. I can provide services remotely, yet can be available for travel to your location or your company's local offices in the U.S., Japan and other Asia Pacific countries, as well as your global headquarters, for in-person meetings or as needed.
